INDIAN SUMMER PICTURES SERVICES - TUTORIALS

Tutorials/Instructional
End verbal redundancy!
From 3 minutes to a 120 minute feature-length Tutorial.
-We specialize in this field-

Tired of re-explaining to your employees how to operate something? Maybe you teach a one-time class and want to give your students a DVD to take home with them. Whatever it may be, we specialize in this field. Time and time again, we have all seen tutorials that were boring, or the quality of the video was so bad that it actually turned us away from the learning process.

At Indian Summer Pictures, we too, are tradesmen. Film is not our only experienced line of work. Having worked in many different fields, there is a good chance we will be able to relate to your subject. Having this advantage, we will foresee the views of the subject from both the unaware public, and having worked in the environment itself. We will collaborate the two, forming an interesting draw towards the subject in a unique, interesting, and fun learning experience.

Some examples of tutorials:
• Equipment operation instructional (bulldozers, machinery, etc.)
• Proper Food handling and processing.
• Specific Licence-based learning (Commercial Drivers Licence, Pilot, etc)
• Yoga, and other metaphysical studies
• Product Assembly

Now, more than ever, has there never been a better time in technology to create tutorials. With visual editing and DVD chapters, viewers will be able to navigate though individual chapters based on learning steps that you choose. From labels & diagrams layered on live video, to narration, music, documentary style interview interjections, and more. We even have a micro-camera that can be worn by the demonstrator to give the viewer a real "hands-on" feel.

Cost Estimate

Pricing ranges anywhere from $750 upwards past $5,000 depending on your budget (majority of cost is DVD duplication/replication order)
Projects can be as simple as a 2 day shoot, or an extensive 9 month project.
It all depends on your budget and audio/visual complexity of the learning stages.
Be sure to check out our duplication page to see DVD, design, and case options!

General pricing is divided into two categories. Whether or not this DVD will be for retail, or handed out "in-house" (meaning you give them to your clients/employee's). The difference is the Copyright & Retail UPC Bar-Code system. This is your first price divider.

The second one is length, chapters, amount of shooting time required, locations, graphic art design, and all the extra's that will be added to make your tutorial stand out from the rest.

Tutorials will be treated like a feature-film. There will be a lot of options on the table regarding multi-camera shoots, audio-visual elements, animation, graphic design and promotional advertisement.

Not-so scary fine print

Sponsorships are your sole responsibility. If you wish to obtain a sponsor for financing and/or product(s) that will be used in the production, make sure you also obtain written consent for use of logo, and/or product.

Important information regarding copyright©

If you plan on retailing your DVD, legal precautions must be made during production. Make sure the content of your tutorial/production script does not contain: infringement upon the public, use of any unauthorized material copyrights (books/printed matter), audio/visual copyrights, logos, trademarks, misuse/or misrepresentation of (name brand) products, breaches of contract, improper/mis-guided instruction, or any unlawful conduct.

Don’t let this scare you away from your idea, by any means! We just need to forewarn you ahead of time that Media does have its limits.

You simply cannot "Make a DVD and put it on a shelf, and sell it." When you enter the world of retail, you enter public media. All Media scheduled for retail will require a UPC Bar-Code along with content rating mark on the back cover (ie; G, PG, PG-13, R, MA). These Pre-cautions protect us as a producer and you as a retailer! We will oversee everything during production, and let you know if something is "o.k." or not.
